We are Ildiko Kiss and Kalman Vagi from Hungary and have been represented at the Christmas market in Schönbrunn with our homemade products since 2017. Enameling copper is an old, traditional technique for making jewelry that we use for Christmas tree decorations. The base material is copper, the surface is glass. After polishing, we prime, glaze and paint the pieces before firing them three times at 600 °C.
This combination of materials creates Christmas decorations such as angels, snowmen, deer and ballet dancers. Our basic range uses steel that is coated with powder paint and fired at 200 °C to make tealight holders, magnets and snowflakes.
We do all the work ourselves – from design to enamelling. That’s why we only sell our products at the Schönbrunn Christmas market, which is a year-round project for us.
