The Wiener Alm in the Ehrenhof courtyard of Schönbrunn Palace is serving up something new this year. At the heart of the menu is a hearty chili con carne, alongside a vegan chili sin carne and a traditional Viennese goulash soup – each served with a slice of fresh house bread from a Viennese bakery. You decide how spicy it gets: mild, fiery or adventurous.

Each week, there is also a special dish available for a limited time only – Fiakergulasch with pickles, egg and crispy onions, pumpkin goulash, potato goulash or curried beluga lentils. For younger guests, Poldi’s children’s menu offers smaller portions of the same dishes.

For something sweet, enjoy a Germknödel served either with butter or vanilla sauce. To drink, there is mulled wine, punch, hot chocolate or organic tea served in a mug – perfect for warming up between strolls through the Christmas market.
